Live online count for WebEngine

Show your real online player count on your toplist listing, no TSM Agent needed. A tiny WebEngine module publishes the number as JSON and the toplist reads it every few minutes.

Download the plugin

One small ZIP with the module and a README. Unzip it, then follow the steps below.

tuservermu-toplist-webengine.zip

1 Install the module

From the ZIP you just downloaded, copy modules/tsmonline.php into your WebEngine modules/ directory. That is the only file you need for this feature.

your-webengine-site/
└─ modules/
└─ tsmonline.php ← the only file for live online reporting

2 Confirm the endpoint

Open the module URL in your browser (WebEngine turns modules/tsmonline.php into a clean URL):

https://your-site.com/tsmonline/

You should see JSON with your live count:

{"online":123,"ts":1720000000,"source":"cache"}

3 Link it on the toplist

On the toplist, edit your server and paste that URL into Live online count (My Servers → Edit). The toplist starts pulling your count within a few minutes.

How it works

  • It first reads WebEngine's own Server Info cache (cache/server_info.cache), so in the common case it adds zero extra database queries.
  • If that cache is missing or stale it recomputes with the exact same query WebEngine uses (COUNT(*) FROM MEMB_STAT WHERE ConnectStat = 1) and warms the cache.
  • Your count shows marked self-reported (cyan badge). The green Verified Live badge is reserved for counts read directly by the TSM Agent, which a player cannot forge.
