Live online count for DT-Web 2.0

Show your real online player count on your toplist listing, no TSM Agent needed. A tiny DT-Web page publishes the number as JSON and the toplist reads it every few minutes.

Download the plugin

One small ZIP with the module and a README. Unzip it, then follow the steps below.

tuservermu-toplist-dtweb.zip

1 Install the file

From the ZIP you just downloaded, copy mod/tsmonline.php into your DT-Web mod/ directory.

your-dtweb-site/
└─ mod/
   └─ tsmonline.php ← the only file you need

2 Register the route

In inc/loader.php, add this line next to the other $active_pages[...] entries:

$active_pages['tsmonline'] = 'tsmonline.php';

3 Confirm the endpoint

Open the endpoint URL in your browser:

https://your-site.com/?p=tsmonline

You should see JSON with your live count:

{"online":123,"ts":1720000000,"source":"live"}

4 Link it on the toplist

On the toplist, edit your server and paste that URL into Live online count (My Servers → Edit). The toplist starts pulling your count within a few minutes.

How it works

  • It runs the same signal MU sites use for "players online" (COUNT(*) FROM MEMB_STAT WHERE ConnectStat = 1) through DT-Web's own mssql_* shim.
  • A 60-second file cache means repeated requests do not hit your database, and the toplist only polls every few minutes anyway, so it barely touches your server.
  • Your count shows marked self-reported (cyan badge). The green Verified Live badge is reserved for counts read directly by the TSM Agent, which a player cannot forge.
  • PHP 8.x: it rides DT-Web's mssql_*→sqlsrv shim, the same one the login plugin uses, so no legacy driver is required.
